GASP! An actual drawn picture by me?!Anyway, what with Halloween coming up, here is a pic I had recently drawn that pokes fun at the Creeepypasta: "NES Godzilla Creepypasta." The story pretty much involves someone playing through a cursed copy of "Godzilla: Monster of Monsters" with each level forcing the player to go through the stage running from a demonic character that lives inside the game. Here is the result of my take on it. Enjoy!

I always try to keep in mind that when reading a video game based Creepypasta that once you've read one, you've pretty much read them all, and that they each contain one or many of the following:
--Author's belief that the game was previously hacked
--Heavy focus on death or depression, or dying characters from within the game
--The game is possessed by some sort of previous player
--Connecting to outside world (and player) in some way
While NES Godzilla Creepypasta does contain a few of these elements, I do like how it does relate and include several references to the Godzilla series, and not just be giant gaggle of just exclusive demonic characters. I also like that the story is more of a dark adventure tale rather than your typical suicidal journey or decent into madness like most VG Creepypasta usually lead up to. The only thing I didn't like about the story was the final climactic battle suddenly switching the focus of Godzilla into a completely different and new character. Sort of a bad case of Deus Ex Machina in my opinion.

Another overused cliche that videogame pastas tend to use is the "realistic blood and gore!" description. But I think this one nailed it real well with the principle of "show, don't tell".
