About an hours worth of work.Still need to adjust a few things;
-probably gonna change the caption/move it around
-need to make some of the smoke letters more legible
-likely to be changing the smoke to help with the above
Would really appreciate feedback for this with regards to legibility/layout and what you generally do or don't like

This is nice, I'd suggest making the BHF logo and website smaller as ~meh-anne mentioned and also the caption. "Is it worth the risk" works better than "worth the risk?".
If you used photoshop, there are quite a few smoke brushes out there and smoke resources that can help with the lettering.

Hmm, I think you may be right about the caption. I'll sort it out this week and see if it works
I'm having trouble finding the right technique for the smoke still but hopefully I'll get some time this week to experiment a bit more

Nice graphic representation. I think you nailed all the things you should probably change. The organization name and logo could probably go a little bit smaller.

I'm still trying to find the best way to create the text so that it actually looks as though it's made from the smoke.A friend suggested using a 3D animation package to create the smoke and letters together, which I'm going to try.

Unfortunately 3D animation is beyond my knowledge, but Iβve seen examples of smoking text so itβs definitely possible to get some legitimate-looking text in there. Good luck!
