Ultimately yes, I despise the use of botha mare and a stallion into a fusion since most example I see have them come out as some mixed freak with both sex traits physically available on them. However I am open to the fact that and willing to create the possibility of fusion bias in which a fusion is not a 50/50 split but perhaps a 25/75 relationship. That is what I picture in this case. Derpy overall carries the majority influence in both behavioral traits and determines the gender of the pony, that being a mare.

While Doctor Whooves is the recessive personality of the fusion, not dominating the mind in its decisions but who's thoughts and preferences can sometimes shine through in very conflicting moments in their shared form. Gives me the thought that lets say you were to have a multiple pony fusion like lets say a 2 mares 1 stallion fusion, then the fusion would obviously turn out to be a mare, albeit with some tomboyish traits that one may see in a male. You would also see the same vice verse as in 2 stallions 1 mare where you have physically and mentally overall a stallion albeit with some feminine traits behavior wise.
