This really does get at the most serious peril faced by any superhero/heroine: the inability to find a good, reliable manufacturer of appropriate costumes. If the costumes are reliable, they're too expensive; and if they're not expensive, they're not kept in inventory; and if they're in inventory, they fall apart just when you don't want them to!
