Pragmatic and without consistency, built to justify changes but without a real progression towards the main objective.
I already said that if they tied this world to the gods, it would be an interesting link… but the problem is that it's a last episode thing and it's not something that will be developed in the short term.
I'm genuinely sad about the nastiness they reserved for the Puss, one of the most charismatic characters on the roster killed so brutally.

Behind Ruby is created a gigantic "existentialist" discourse (she would like to be so intelligent) that finally ends in "Mom lied!" and "I am me".
Such a powerful climax and ends with a silent fart (not even loud).
Let's hope they stop writing about Ruby's leadership failures and start saying smart things now.

They're handling bumblebee AWFUL for me...
Let me give you a choreographer tip:
Two characters who stay together don't have a natural magnet... So it's not like if they fall they end up next to each other all the time ha ha ha!
Don't take my words wrong, because I sound annoyed… but it's actually comical to see Yang and Blake practically falling next to each other.
Please let them talk to each other ok?

Don't insult or ignore her, but HELP her.
(also because no one said "are you okay?" or "excuse me for this or that").

How do I see this series as "time well spent?" I cannot.
Why not?
Because the problem with volume 9 is that only the last episode gave anything for the next volumes, the "macro" didn't go anywhere.
This was supposed to be the "micro" episode, characters, but the only thing that happened is "Bumblebee" and Ruby who hopefully has become a leader.
But what else happened?
Weiss complains, when she never did?;
Jaune ... it returns to what it was before (so we delete everything that happened before);
No character from the world of fairy tales enters the "real" world;
Neo gets the fans second chance.
What happen? Nothing.
The story isn't about the gods, so you can't waste time talking about them. There's Salem...don't forget.
The bottom line is that even if it was beautifully written, which it isn't, it still wouldn't have impacted the "macro story".
So you play on the "micro" but fail there too because Weiss's psychology is literally a ping pong between "Atlas destroyed, sad" and "Jaune dilf, excited".
They could have exploited this volume to solve all the logical problems of RWBY but they have done the minimum ...
I don't understand, hadn't they already written the story?
Even now with Volume 10:
"We almost wrote the whole story"
So you have time to reread it, improve it ... B
ut it almost seems that everything remains on a draft.
