Description Some friends from home finally roped me into my first real DnD group that's continuing and not just something I manage to hit for one night! I'm excited to be part of a full campaign

Big blue guy- Meinhard, the loveable gay German Goliath played by Jamie, Sara as Kilah the only girl and poison expert forest halfling, Me as Billy the corpse-pillaging rogue, and the ever charismatic Paladan, Lathander, who managed to talk a black dragon out of killing us by smiling at him charmingly. He's played by Amph, and his friend Tim plays the poor harassed halfling bard Filton.

I was at my friend's place without a computer for the weekend and decided to experiment with real media as a present for my friends ^_^ Our party ROCKS.

Sounds like a fun party to be in.

I just started playing as well. I play a Human Bard. The rest of the party consists of a Human Paladin who worships one of our gaming deities, Face-Butt (In-game, it's pronounced Fa-Kay Boot), a Halfling Rogue who is sneaking everywhere (also forgot to pack some lockpicks), a Dwarf Druid (with an Elven name) as our party leader, a Half-Orc Barbarian with an axe recently named "Lockpick," a Human Fighter who has pretty much the right tool for any situation (minus a tent), and a handsome, yet arrogant Human Sorcerer.

Despite how much flak the bard gets, I've held up pretty well. I had to save the sorcerer twice now with my healing spells. To be fair, he did managed to convince the Baron's guards that he was a paladin. Then I managed to get an interesting item: Kelomir's Cloak of Passing. It allows me to pass through any magical barriers. The rest of the party seems to forget the "magical" part. The sorcerer once tried to run through a red hot portcullis only to bash his head on it, at which point I shouted back, "Magical barriers, dumbasses!"

Got to love D&D... and any other pen and paper RPG.

Great picture, and keep gaming.

Ah, the glories of DnD. My compulsive reading of boring statistics staked me as a DM from early on, and its a blessing and a curse. O one hand, I'd rather just play an adventure as a PC then build them, but on the other hand, I get to be as creatively sadistic as I want to the lazy bastards. It tends to balance out.

Oh, that looks like a very good aprty indeed! I play a gay, blind misogynist, in love with the (straight) paladin Azura Soulblade and constantly heckled by the two women in the party, who hate each other.

Fun times.

You're finally playing Pen and Paper? I started a year and a half ago, and I'm hooked. Its ubergeeky but really fun. I'm starting my fifth campaign on Wednesday.

Don't be upset if you die, it happens all the time.

Our parties never cooperate though, we wind up fighting each other more than monsters. It makes for hilarity.

You should check out the PHB2 and Complete Scoundrel if you're into rogue stuffs.

Yeah! I really really like it! I've been TRYING to get into it for years now, but this is the first time I actually have access to a campaign I can keep up with @_@ ilu my rogue- Lizz and I went to cyborg yesterday and I was actually thumbing through both of those books- I almost got the Complete Scoundrel but it was so pricey. ((will look online)) and it was all kinda greek to me because I'm so new XD with time, man! Hoo it's not geeky, it's THE BEST GAME EVAR. lol

Check Amazon, they have most of the books around 18-20 bucks. Cyborg is overpriced for everything.

Nice to see you use traditional media. My favorite part of this, oddly enough, is Billy's cloak/hood thing. XD

hahahaha me too, actually!!! it was really difficult because I wanted it to be black but without like... being overpowering with the pastels of the rest of the piece XDD

Real media is fun but time consuming XD

Somehow, traditional media always feels more rewarding than digital media for me

it's so much more of a challenge without layers or undo buttons, that's for sure!

Currently playing a gnoll ranger myself. The thing is, he doesn't know Common, so he has to rely on the half-orc monk to translate for him.

Dude, awesome! I love D&D, but my stupid friend who's our new DM is deciding to not finish his campaign cos he's bored with it. Damnit.

YAY FOR BARDS. That is all I can say.

you need a new DM is what you need! ):< I'm very excited... our DM is very passionate about what she has planned for us >:3 I'm sure it'll inspire lots of art in the future... I still need to draw Lasander talking the dragon out of eating us and Billy and Lasander's ((cough)) argument over women that happened the other day XDDD

Anti-Tahni In reply to Bilious [2007-05-21 16:35:18 +0000 UTC]

Yes, well, nobody really knows as much about it as him. >_>; we've never actually played WITH him, as we met at a introductory kinda thing at a local comic store, but his dad taught him all about it yadda yadda.
Yay! I love D&D art XD I should draw some, really. Our second adventure happened to include us all getting drunk and my friend being carried off by farmers.
And then my other friend smashed their kneecaps in or something... Fun times.

Lol, that's awesome. D&D is fun when you have a good group. My last campaign had me as Ziirah the Lupinal druid, my boyfriend as Lunk the Half-orc barbarian, and our friend Winter as Mel the cat-folk ranger/rogue. X3 Right now I'm playing Lucid the half-dragon cleric, my bf is Gerard the sticky-fingered charismatic rogue, and our friend Phoenix as Elron the dragon-descended mage. Woot for dorkness :B
