Description
Commission by Raging Swan Press for Shadowed Keep on the Borderlands - Pathfinder / Dungeons and Dragons scenario for low level characters.

This is an overview map of a ruined structure which is the access point for all of the different dungeons levels in this module.

Pre-publication version with colour parchment background (my own background) - cropped.

When I was working on the pieces Creighton (of Raging Swan Press) asked me to provide optional layers - so that given the choice he could print the final maps with or without a grid, and perhaps with an easy-on-printer black and white layers.

I find maps like these lots of fun to draw, (by hand) but it can be really fiddly trying to get them to line up with the exact 5mm grid on the computer.

The final piece was prepared in GIMP which I'm finding is a curiously fickle beast but is useful for exporting to numerous popular formats, like Photoshop.

Fine line ink pen on paper + scanned to GIMP on a PC.
