Thanks, man! I bought that Bonus Cup at a Descendents show in 86 for 5 bucks. I've had the Stalag 13 record since 85. I got it signed by Jaime Hernandez at Heroes Con a couple months ago.

I knew a guy who had one of if not Youth Brigade's first 7 inch. When they signed it, I believe it was Mark who wrote "If you sell this, you're a dick"!

The collection of copics is growing as I can afford them. That's a Lady Death sketch card back. I didn't do the art. I'm pretty sure that's Ivan Reis. I'm just working on the set.

Extra points for the Stalag 13 record I see in the background, I owned that exact record & many, many others from Social Unrest, Battalion of Saints, Necro's, Decry, Ill Repute, Dr. Know etc etc.....(the list goes on & on!)

Some old salts just know. :3

No!.. Extra points for you. I wouldn't have expected anyone to recognize that old Stalag 13 record. It's autographed by cover artist Jaime Hernandez, one of my all time favorites. That was a big score for me. Now if I could only get my copy of C.O.C.'s Animosity signed by Pushead or my Battalion of Saints, Second Coming signed by Mad Marc Rude, I could die happy. I do still have all my old hardcore records even though they are backed up digitally.

Haha, well I have about 700 old school albums digitally saved on my EHD but have no hard copys on record anymore.

Thats indeed a gem, but as far as Pushead. My friends got a limited edition sculpture he signed & hand made (1/1) which is worth a lot of $$$$$$$$.

When I was much younger, I was fortunate to see pusheads band "septic death" back in the mid 80's when he was more into making music, instead of just drawing for bands.

I have the Septic Death records and a bunch from his Pusmort label but I never saw the band. I saw a least a hundred shows during that era but I don't know that Septic Death ever came out east. Where did you see the band? Do you remember who they played with?

Same! It was when you could go to a house show & everyone would crowd in a basement & cost was usually "donation". I've seen to many shows to pin point one, but will always remember seeing Black Flag on there last tour in Michigan when I lived there on the final tour when Henry Rollins still sang for them & had long hair plus a beard.

Music is a huge part of my life, being in my 30's I grew up as an 80's kid & would skate to stuff like B'last & Black Flag, Natas Kaupas was the man.

Funny thing is, we asked him to buy us 40's of Mickeys & he did plus hung out in the alleyway behind the club with us before him & Greg Ginn jumped on stage.

I've caught bands like Neurosis (Word as Law days),MDC, Verbal Abuse, Dayglow Abortions, NOFX (Maximun Rock n Roll days) all in there prime..

I actually was in the bay area when they played at a house, can't remember who opened for them though. I think it might have been either Roach Motel or The Massacre Guys.

I was the artist that hung around with the skaters. I did art for zines, band logos, painted leathers silk screened t-shirts and always put punks and punk culture in my comics. My first ever printed art was in Transworld Skateboarding.

I knew some older punks from school that took me to my first show when I was 14. It was in a church basement in DC for 5 bucks. I saw Government Issue, Void, Tales of Terror and The Vandals.

I saw Black Flag a few times. The last time I saw them was on that same final tour in 86. They had been touring for almost a year straight and you could tell they hated each other. Bill Stevenson was not on drums, they had a guy that played the same beat for every song. They refused to play the songs that people wanted to hear and you could tell they didn't want to be there. It sucked! It was a bad omen when local DC punk powerhouse Scream opened with an all acoustic set that no one wanted from them. It's not the worst show I ever saw, that would be when Suicidal Tendencies walked off the stage after one song but returned to play a terrible set only because the crowd was about to riot and flip their tour bus out front. I remember walking up to that show and seeing a real tour bus. It was strange at the time. Everyone was calling them sellouts.

I've seen MDC, Dayglo Abortions, Neurosis and NOFX. I had always wanted to see Verbal Abuse and the Boneless Ones but I did see Fang. My favorite Southern California bands that I never got to see were RKL and Aggression

Very cool, did you ever do any stuff for Thrasher?

Nice, I wonder if we ever bumped elbows since while I grew up in the Midwest (Chicago), I have spent time on the West & east coast multiple times & actually have caught tons in New England like Jerrys Kids & a few others out there.

Never saw any of the old Dischord records bands though like GI or Minor Threat so consider yourself lucky on that one.

Yea, that whole "your a sellout" crap consumed many, sadly even good bands that weren't technically selling out still got the axe for minor reasons which I can understand on both sides of the tracks.

Gotta love those old Oxnord Nardcore bands that Mystic signed on, still listening to Ill Repute & Dr. Know plus got many others saved in a EHD. California was the mecha in the 80's, its cool to see people like Keith Morris doing his thing these days even if hes in his 50's.

His new band Off! is good: [link]

Never did anything for Thrasher. I wish. I didn't care about Transworld Skatebording, I really dug Thrasher. They had the good music and art stuff.

I've seen at least 150 shows but they were all in the MD,VA and DC area. The only band I saw away from the area were the Dwarves at the Troubadour in LA.

Never saw Minor Threat and never wanted to see Fugazi. Minor Threat broke up right around when I started going to shows. I was never into that post hardcore thing that happened later in DC.

I'm a big Keith Morris fan. The Circle Jerks are in my top 3 all time favorite bands and I think OFF! is great.

I liked Nardcore so much I named a character in my comic Nardcore. :thumb184488000:
