Chuck is my favorite character!Β  One of my favorites from any television show, in fact.Β  He makes complete sense to me even though I think he is ridiculous.Β  I relate to both the brothers and find it amusing and tragic how they are unable to reconcile.Β  I was glad to see the flashbacks in the most recent series.Β  I keep regretting that I drew Chuck sneering here; Chuck never sneers!Β  He was mid-speech in one of the screen-captures I was using as reference and I kept with that for some reason.Β  Although season 2 had not yet even ended and that was the period least sympathetic to his character, so I could have thought: "Chuck might as WELL be sneering" !

I would like to see Tuco again before the show concludes though I can understand why the writers might not want use him very often.

I also enjoy Jimmy's bizarre, sometimes cartoonishly unkind interactions with Howard and hope Kim doesn't end up dead or in jail or without any friends over the association with Jimmy.

wow, that's interesting! i always hear people name Chuck as their least favorite character, so your reasoning for liking him is like a breath of fresh air!

yeah, i feel whenever tuco is on screen it's breaking bad all over again xD but it makes perfect sense not to overuse him since, from what i've read, the actor portraying him doesn't like to play 'violent bad guys' (lol?) all the time... oh well, i'm happy with however much screen time they decide to give him! despite the fact that he's a cliche 'hyper violent mexican drug lord', i can't help but enjoy every second he's on screen...spitting in people's faces and breaking their legs!

considering the fact that Kim (and a whole lot of the characters in general) never appeared in BB, i can't begin to imagine what happened between the timelines D: hopefully, nothin' too bad! i've grown fond of Kim and Jimmy's chemistry~

i also enjoy seeing Mike and Gus' partnership start from scratch and learning more about their pasts. i often found myself more invested in the mike/gus/nacho/don hector story lines than the jimmy one(s) at times!

i've personally steered clear of fan theories, but i still wonder how they'll end the series... i also wonder how long the show'll run. heck, it's already been runnin' for 40 episodes O: (and breaking bad only had 62!!)

have you heard the announcement of an upcoming 'breaking bad' movie? supposedly it'll show us what happened to Jesse after the finale. i gotta be honest, i'm pretty pumped about it! it's about damn time for a continuation of one of the best stories ever put to television

I actually saw the first season of Better Call Saul before I saw any Breaking Bad, so I feel closer to this show.Β  Incidentally, Jimmy/Saul has now been in more episodes than Walter White.Β  Once I had seen Breaking Bad, I liked the idea of BCS not needing to perfectly match up with the other show, and going out of absolute continuity if necessary, but I just hate seeing people get hurt terribly, even fake ones!Β  There are plenty of fictional redemption stories out there but somehow it ends up that the only recent stories I enjoy have really pessimistic conclusions.

It is hard to have Tuco in a scene without it coming to or leading up to a fight, and for that to work long term it would need to be the focus of the show, and likely necessarily not a very long-tenured show.Β  He seems like he would be either doing something horrible or doing nothing of note most of the time.

I hope a spinoff film would not be called "Breaking Bad" since it would necessarily lack the main character associated with the title. I had also inadvertently heard of a potential Sopranos spinoff but that would be a prequel and presumably not called "The Sopranos."

oh really!? i actually wondered how one would react if they watch BCS first i saw every episode of BB before i started this show.

yeah, i like how BCS has it's own voice/look etc, despite having some of the same characters.

permanent deaths of favorite characters in fiction is always sad to me mostly because i'll never get to see em again!(unless there's a prequel )

that's true, Tuco is more of a once-in-a-while character, not a main one.

yeah, me too. it might confuse fans or newcomers if it was called 'breaking bad: the movie', or similar!

a Sopranos spinoff? hell yeah! i'd love to see that even if it's a prequel!

Chuck is a fine upstanding citizen!Β  Sure he gets 16 confused with 61 now and then and dresses like a baked potato but he upholds the LAW like no other.

They both are, in their ways!Β  But they are both lawyers.Β  I exaggerated the right side one a tad; I only had a few screen grabs at the time and he was mid speech in one and looked to be sneering, and it worked for this.Β  Generally he masks his contempt better than that!

They are based on photographs, I mean!Β  It can happen to anyone.Β  But specifically they were supposed to be Bob Odenkirk and Michael McKean, currently from the television program Better Call Saul.Β  I earlier tried to draw them not sourced directly from photographs, and they looked like mutants.

Thank you!Β  I tried a few different Jimmies but the others looked insane since I tried to make them more cartoon-like to contrast the somewhat realistic Chuck, but could not quite pull it off.Β  I think the colors do help distract from the boring imitative quality this would otherwise have had.

Oh, I think you nailed them both perfectly well, Saul's Smugness, Chuck's resent, and all whilst keeping to such warm shades, for what it's worth? I do not think the quality is either boring nor imitativeΒ Β We all use references, and I'd definitely say you'd put a very personal and stylized twist onto itΒ Β  Keep it up.
