My entry for the demon girl contest held byUsing my half demon OC Vanessa. Ive been trying to find an excuse to draw her again, but just wasnt inspired until a contest popped up in front of me
Im glad i drew her again, i really enjoy drawing her. He outfit is a little bland, but i love the fishnet (even tho its hard as hell to draw!).

so, looking at your stuff, you definitely have your own style you like to draw in as far as proportions go so im not really gonna talk about that stuff
what i will talk about more is this picture's pose and composition
i think the thing that really stands out as an issue for me is the way she is kind of floating in a vortex or something
normally floaty poses are fine and all
but with this drawing in particular it doesnt really work because she is putting obvious weight on her muscles as if she is sitting on something
along with this the legs are sitting in a really strange way because her leg closest to us is resting on some invisible thing that is not on the same level that her butt is resting on and then the other leg is just kind of folded back pretty far
i would suggest for drawings like this, that you give the character something to sit on to prevent issues like this
it would just help the drawing make much more sense
the other big thing i noticed was your colouring
you seem to be going for a soft shaded styleΒ
but there isnt a very clear lightsource and not really enough contrast
like i think the leg that is further away from us should be slightly darker and have less highlight to add depth, same with the hand that is further back (near her mouth)
i also just do not really recommend this style of shading for you though
i think you're style is better suited to a cell shaded style because it is very flat and stylized
so i really recommend playing around with that
overall i think you have very cute art and a hell of a lot of growth potential
so you should keep going and going with art

Thank you for the critique! Yeah, i know my anatomy kinda sucks still, but im trying to work on it. And backgrounds were never something i was good with. And i understand what you mean with how her butt and her foot are resting on completely different levels. I just couldnt seem to figure out how to fix that :/

I do like the whole little bat wings and triangle tipped tail thing, and the horns are a nice touch. Β something about the color blending make the horns just feel hard.

I love how well you blend highly textured parts of your pieces with the more, for lack of a better word, animeish parts
