Personality:

Not much is known about this anomalous child. Witnesses have described the girl as carefree and friendly, albeit a bit eccentric. Non-human witnesses, youkai, fairies, and even gods, share a similar sentiment; however, a few of them stated that they "felt a heavy and deathly aura" during occasional encounters.

Powers/abilities:

Manipulation of apocalyptic forces

Emily is shown to have the ability to manipulate various forces of destruction, such as famine, misfortune, curses, and even death. She can weaken her opponents by merely breathing nether, hinder one's healing factor, and even invoke death upon them through disintegration, sickness, poison, etc. Since her powers extend to the concept of death, she can also manipulate souls and destroy them.

Absolute immortality

Emily also possesses immortality in the truest of sense, the same immortality that the Hourai immortals (Mokou, Kaguya, Eirin, and Chang'e) have. If her body is destroyed, it will be restored endlessly. Even her soul is completely invincible. She can still feel pain, though.

Backstory:

Emily was not always the anomaly she is now. She was originally a human child (age 11) who lived in an unnamed village. She lived a relatively normal life with her parents and twin brother. One night, her village was attacked by a pack of demons. For reasons unknown, the demons decided to kill everyone who had lived there. Her parents had died during the attack, and her brother was separated from her. Wrecked with despair, Emily figured that she might as well help those in need in the chaos. She had found a man who was suffering from an injury and cornered by a horde of demons. As a last act of heroism, Emily managed to help the man escape from the horde, but in exchange, she was torn apart in his stead.

She later woke up in an unfamiliar place with a dull sky. A woman with red hair and a scythe greeted her the moment she woke up. The woman had then decided to chat with Emily, as she ferried her in her boat.

???: "Eaten alive, huh? Jeez, that's a brutal fate for a child to experience..."
Emily: "..."
???: "And you managed to save someone, too?"
Emily: "Yeah..."
???: "...This'll be an interesting conversation. With my boss, I mean."
Emily: "Boss...?"
???: "Oh, we're here."
Emily: "Thanks for the ride, miss, uh..."
Komachi: "Call me 'Komachi'. Hang in there, kid."

Emily had then encountered another woman with green hair, holding some sort of rod. That woman was Eiki Shiki, a Yama. Eiki had explained to her that it is rare for someone so young to act so courageous and selfless, especially right after witnessing something so traumatic (the death of her parents). Since this was a rather special case, she gave Emily two choices. She could either choose to go to Heaven where the virtuous souls reside, or become "something else". By "something else", Eiki did not mean a shinigami, but rather another force of death, like a horsemen (or rather "horsegirl") of apocalypse.

Emily: "Why are you offering me this?"
Eiki: "Just as how one should be punished for their sins, one should be rewarded for the virtues, especially one who has suffered such a tragic death."
Emily: "I do...?"
Eiki: "Your life was cut short, and, thus, you had little time to explore your potential. But with this opportunity, you'll have another chance."
Emily: "What will this do to me?"
Eiki: "By accepting this offer, you will become something akin to an angel. You will transcend your own origin, transcend the very concepts of life and death, and open up a new path."
Emily: "...Do I really deserve all of this? I barely know anything about the ways of death and apocalypse."
Eiki: "Oh, no. I'm not saying you have to work for me; you can live however you wish (a moral one, I hope). I'm just saying this position is always here for you. After all, you will quite literally have all the time in the world."
Emily: "However I wish... "
Eiki: "I assume this means..."
Emily: "I'll take your offer, please."
Eiki: "Very well. I trust that you will not take this opportunity for granted."

Emily had then permanently reincarnated into what she is now, an anomalous child with apocalyptic power. She had remembered what the Yama had warned. Eiki warned that even though she has absolute immortality, she would still have the possibilty of being locked up in Hell if she were to go too far. But for now, she is free.
