Well, I've certainly been gone a LOOOONG time, haven't I? Yeah, never let it be said that I'm a PUNCTUAL fellow. ( ; Still, sometimes all it takes to rise from the ashes is just the smallest sliver of inspiration. A fellow photographer here on DA had posted up a shot of their (purposefully) mistransformed Transformers: Age of Extinction Deluxe Slash (pretty sure I got that right). I complimented their fine efforts, they thanked me for said compliment, and wondered if I would mind sharing my own take on the subject. Well, how I could I say no to a challenge like that? XD

So here he is! One Dinobot, twisted and mangled into a horrific abomination as requested! This picture and the 2 other angles I'll post were taken with my phone's camera, using my laundry hamper as a stage...yeah, the old camera, lights, and backdrops are LONG gone I'm afraid. Still, easily replaceable, and my phone's camera is probably more powerful than the one I was using back in the day ever was! So, I may possibly do more sets like these in the future; I certainly have enough examples laying around! Ambien is a hell of a drug folks, and woe be it to any poor Transformers left within arm's reach when it kicks in for the night! This fellow right here is a good example, and came into existence some time last-night in the hour or so after I'd crawled into bed and taken my sleep meds.....and promptly got distracted and forgot about the whole "going to sleep" bit. So yeah, this freak of nature that could only have been conceived by some nutcase on a drug trip.....literally WAS! Unintentionally of course; Ambien is a sleep aid, that just happens to occasionally make you loopy enough that you forget that you're supposed to be GOING TO SLEEP. Ironic, ain't it?

Anyways, a quick rundown, as a lot of the effect sadly doesn't come across very well in 2D. In case you can't see it, in this configuration he now comes equipped with a Scorpion-like stinger tail, long twisted claws sprouting from his places limbs really don't belong (those would be his dino-mode feet), spiny frills flaring up at the back of his neck, two slashing appendages by his mouth posed to chop any prey he snags into nice bit-sized chunks......and to top off the horror angle, I arranged things so he now scuttles around on six tiny legs that used to be his RIB-CAGE.

So yeah, there's your dose of nightmare fuel for the day. You're welcome. ( ; Hopefully, you'll be hearing more from me soon. Ta ta for now!
