Ooohh my gosh she looks so angry
I LOVE ITΒ Β
I honestly like to imagine when they meet up they stick together and fight big scary monsters together.
Sakuri leans that Eri knows more about self defense than she thought.

Well, they're probably going to try and find a weapon for Sakuri to use, since she is pretty much useless otherwise.
Huh, kinda makes you wonder where Eri got the handgun from, given that she's a ten year old and Japan has strict gun laws.
I think that Eri is just venting her frustration on her older sister at this moment.

Maybe something from this room could be a good weapon.
I never saw whether if it was specified if she found it in hell or not? So I just kinda assumed it was something their mother had for self defense reasons, even with strict gun laws.
She must've learn somewhere, so maybe she was taught at some point before the events of demonophobia.
I think it'd be funny if she was a crack shot.

The closest thing I can see being used as a potential weapon is the crescent-bladed pole, but I was thinking of the brass dagger Sakuri uses to fight Lust with. Whatever happened to it? Also, what happened to her fire and ice powers she used against Butcher's spine? So many questions.
Perhaps their father was formerly in military service? Only explanation I can see, since law enforcement and military personnel are the only ones who can carry firearms.
Maybe Eri's just a genius when it comes to firearms, who knows?

I thought the dagger got destroyed or absorbed by Lust?
And those powers came from her hairclips, right?
.. Was it ever explained why those hairclips were important...
Yknow there's really nothing said about their father so that's entirely possible, maybe he taught Eri how to shoot.
Didn't teach Sakuri because Sakuri can't go 10 seconds of running without being completely out of breath. (Game mechanic gripe, yay.)

The dagger was destroyed by Lust? OK. As for her powers, the only mentioned power that came from her hairclips was the power that damaged Reese in the final battle, but I think that was a separate item that was powered though mysterious orbs, much like the Sloth fight. Salamander and Undine were two separate powers found prior to the Butcher's spine fight, and that was made unavailable after defeating the spine. Really, the hairclips are probably a deus ex machina that was put in for the sake of the story.
Low stamina? How about the inability to jump? Being frozen in place by enemies and having to button mash to escape? There are a lot of things wrong with the game mechanic-wise.

Ooh wait you mean those powers, sorry I got those mixed up.
Yea they just kinda dropped off the entire game. Sucks because that would've been nice to have for the rest of the game instead of deus ex hairclips.
How about the inability to kick things? Imagine how less tedious the game would be if Sakuri just knew how to kick and stomp.Β

Honestly, anything that empowers Sakuri would have helped in some measure. I understand that the game was designed to be punishingly hard by making the player as helpless as possible without making the game unplayable, but the poor mechanics upped the difficulty in a bad way.Β
Speaking of which, have you seen Stygiophobia? It's my own personal project acting as a story sequel to Demonophobia.

The game really should take some tips from Silent Hill, that game was great with making you feel hopeless while still empowering you in some way.
Though I guess they did with Xenophobia considering you get gun.
Yeah! I don't know the entire story yet but I've seen bits and pieces when I went through your gallery, it looks cool!

Silent Hill was a great game, although I never played it. I've seen enough gameplay to understand how the game works.
This is the link to the summary and insights I have put together forΒ Stygiophobia .
