Chapter 1

In my life on earth I was a reporter. Not a famous reporter, but a reporter none-the-less. Strangely, now even in death I am still a reporter, just a different kind. I was sent to recount “The Great War”, as it’s called in heaven and hell. The preachers spoke of a major war that would come between heaven and hell in the end times and about that, they were right.

To really understand why there was a war, you need not look any further than the one who we referred to as “the devil”. Lucifer was one of the greatest angels in the first tier. He wasn’t the strongest, but he was the most charismatic and cunning. He stood shorter than most angels, but his wing span was a marvelous site to behold. Even through his long black hair, the glow of a pair of radiant green eyes would make anyone take notice. The preachers wanted us to believe that he was thrust from heaven because he wanted to take over. They were wrong.

Lucifer was kicked out of heaven for disagreeing. He was kicked out of heaven AFTER the creation of humans, not before as we thought. “The fatal flaw that would bring humanity crashing down is free will”, Lucifer pronounced to God. Not wanting to hear such things God told Lucifer to stop meddling in that which he knows not. At that point Lucifer, rightfully distraught, decided if God would not listen to him, He must listen if there would be a union of angels for the same purpose. He used his mastery of charisma to gather a mass of angels. Just as soon as this assembling was formed, God launched a rather swift attack with his strongest angels and threw out the entire congregation.

After being expelled from heaven, the assembly made it their goal to prove that Lucifer was correct. By doing this they only wished their right to passage back into paradise be granted. You see it wasn’t a hostile take over that would bring about this war. In fact, just like the destruction of earth, it was humans that brought about the end of millennia of peace in paradise.
