I sit here now and look to the door.

But in this late hour you can not draw near.
For you’re in bed asleep and surely not here.

I have seen true beauty of the most amazing kind.

The sun now draws near, and I have yet to sleep.
But as the sun rises slowly, from your bed you will leap.
A cast iron image of your beauty in sight,
When you’re finally here, there will be only delight.

As my body grows weak, I have but my dreams.
But even unconscious, your image, it streams.
Now as the hour comes for me to expire,
I can’t wait to see you, you’re my only desire.
