I just got done reading eaters of the dead by michael crichton.
This reminds me alot of Rothgars great hall, where buliwyf and his men defended against the wendol.
A fascinating retelling of beowulf actually.
I don't know what about me is drawn to cold and snow but part of me wishes this picture was a real place you could visit. The warm lamp glowing in the cold winter night. Songs dance and a fire in the castle...

i took very short time because is based au photography, in fact i took 2hours for this one
for exemple a gfx like "epic" (vue in my gallerie) with no photo reference i took 40hours

You've got some pretty nice skill with speed-painting then, or "fast-painting" (I don't know if 2 hours is still a speed). I admire that. I already watched you in anticipation

yes try this! it s a good exercice for anderstand the light and the volume (andt the soft) , and it s easyer than pure creation
