secret with lens flare: not use too much, juste the minimal
i use hitfilm2 for this one, but you can use after effect too
i think this software purpose much tweak on the lens flare than 3d program (with my knowledge)

I use Photoshop elements or Corel photopaint for mine, and yeah, A little goes a long way. Stonemason is starting to add his to flat planes with transparency, it actually looks good. I might make a few of those.

but i m not search to do a real image of mars, just a scifi illustration with an athmosphere like mars....maybee it s not mars, maybe it s not ours sun, but just "a sun" in an other galaxy
i just try to do an illustration whith good balance
i try some result with 2 sun, biger sun, smaller sun.......an il like this one so...this is the result

Holy, amazingly incredible! The Flying Ships look stunning and The Landscape is radical! The architecture, machinery, sun, mountains, wheels, engines, transparent effect, sky, movement, atmosphere, terrain, concept, composition, uniqueness, style, lighting, colors, and other details are also spectacular!
