Description
You guys know I like testing out new types of art. This was carved into some scratch board I bought at Hobby Lobby. Then I painted it with Watercolor.
Keep in mind I'm no master at painting and am also new to this scratch board stuff.
Ed was the third Ed boy I tried this out on.
Sorry about the scanner quality. It looks better in person.

:/ You totally need to try my family's home made Swiss steak gravy. I dunno if it's anything like Swiss chicken gravy... but it sure is good!

Not bad at all.
To be honest, I at first thought Ed was missing his left leg, but then I quickly realized it was just hiding. xD

Right now I only have one scratch board left. It's the huge one I wanna use for my character Jacob...
I'd have to go buy more... and they are slightly expensive.
We'll see

I'd love to see the Jacob one, then. It's too bad all the good art supplies are so damn expensive.
I can barely afford copic markers and 19 X 24 bristol-vellum pads so I haven't been able to post my own art in a long time.
That's the downfalls of traditional art... I'd learn digital, but Photoshop is not really my thing although I admire digital artists. Also, some programs are just as expensive as any good art supplies, even though they have free programs like Gimp.

Yeah. But the only problems with Gimp are it isn't that widely used and it is very difficult to learn.
I totally know what you mean. I've been using prisma color markers for another experimental project. They're like 5 dollars each at Hobby Lobby ;m;'
As for the Jacob sketch board, I'm going to be uploading that at my main account when it is finished... Which is no longer Bircfallstar.
For a long time I wanted to start fresh with a new main account that reflected who I was now. Not who I was in late middle school early high school.
Plus an incident that I'd rather not talk about here finally made me decide to change it.
If you want the account name I can note it. I'm not about to publicly connect that account to BirchyEd or Ask Edd for awhile now.

That's true, I downloaded Gimp version 2.6 and have only learned the basics of how to do backgrounds and simple graphic designs, but nothing fancy yet. That would take awhile.
I tried prisma myself but didn't like it as much as copic. Copic markers are more like paint and easier to work with, since I use mixed media: charcoal, pastel and water colour pencil. Copic works best for me and produces pretty neat effects on bristol or vellum.
I'd love to follow your new account, by the way. I totally understand about starting afresh, that's a good step forward.

Yeah.... I'm not good with paint XD But I haven't tried copic either. I'd like to test both... but I'm starting to get good with prisma slowly.
Thanks!
