Yeah... Sweetie belle and purified concentrated solar energy... That's an invitation for Fallout: Equestria there...

and anyway has that one for action

Maybe that's how Cloudsdale was destroyed!

She set a rock on fire, and turned toast into liquid... I'm pretty sure clouds aren't safe either.

Pyrokenisis is an awesome magic to have.

Oh, how silly.

You'd think that Twilight would have been the one to suggest moving it outside, away from her precious, flammable books.

I love her reaction, it's like one of those joke characters who act all tough and then as soon as someone looks like they're about to call them out they cringe and go "NOT THE FACE!"

If you haven't figured out, this whole series is about goofy twilight reactions.

This one kind of derailed the original direction I was going to take pyrokenisis, but, I'll probably wander in that direction on the next one

Yeah, I sorta figured that out.

Sweetie Belle, pyromancer. It has a ring to it.

So that's what all the poses were for! Heh. I like that Twilight put up a shield "just in case."

Birdco In reply to Blayaden [2012-04-09 04:26:33 +0000 UTC]

When sweetiebelle and magic are involved... that "just in case" can be pretty big

Blayaden In reply to Birdco [2012-04-09 13:34:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I remember. XD I think my favorite one was the one where she accidentally blew up a lemon. XD (and the later callback that mentioned the banning the selling of lemons to minors)

Probably my favorite scene with Sweetiebelle is when she's making breakfast for her parents and she burnt EVERYTHING.

*Sweetie Belle places bowl of burnt liquid on table*
Rarity: Hmm... let me guess. Applesauce?
Sweetie Belle: Nope. Toast!

The voice crack by sweetie belle in that part made it epic...

A good place to play with fire? How about a firework factory?
No, but what about AJ's barn? Made of 100% fireproof wood and hay...

Birdco In reply to Yoshimon1 [2012-04-09 01:33:47 +0000 UTC]

I could just see the final pane of that comic, an evening shot of Ponyville lit by the blazing light as Sweet apple acres is slowly reduced to ashes.

it's a shame you don't make your own comics, I'm sure they would be absolutely hilarious.

Yeah in Sweetie Belle's case, that candle is equal to a stick of dynamite. Also, yes! I totaly called what the shield was for. Wooooo!

Birdco In reply to Grusnoid [2012-04-09 04:29:26 +0000 UTC]

Tallow is a surprisingly energy dense material. Considering it is made from animal fat...

hmmm... makes you wonder where the ponies get their candles from, since beeswax isn't the best candle making material.

Grusnoid In reply to Birdco [2012-04-09 04:58:02 +0000 UTC]

What about Soy, or other plant waxes? There are candles that are made from that material. Either that or Paraffin wax.

Birdco In reply to Grusnoid [2012-04-09 05:15:01 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, paraffin is a petroleum product, I believe. Well, the ponies use coal, so oil is not out of the question.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Grusnoid In reply to Birdco [2012-04-09 05:45:39 +0000 UTC]

It's a kerosene product, and Kerosene has been around forever. The use of trains by the ponies, suggests at the very least, their technological advances are in the Industrial Era.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Birdco In reply to Grusnoid [2012-04-09 06:38:37 +0000 UTC]

yes, but they still use candles, and hoof powered printing presses, and wagons. Even when there is this huge hydroelectric dam in the mountains over Ponyville... And a crane to build a steel framed building (in the middle of a town that is all thatched roof homes...)

I think the writers are challenging us to make sense of this, to see how many of us blow a mental gasket

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Grusnoid In reply to Birdco [2012-04-09 14:08:10 +0000 UTC]

Well maybe electricity is really expensive. A hydroelectric dam suggest that they are in the Modern Era, but what the hell? I'm sure they will show the ponies using laptop computers in a coffee shop at some point, and then our heads will really explode. It's just, UGH! I don't get how a species can be so technologically advanced in one area, and then so technologically backwards in another. It's just easier to say a wizard did it.
