oh well see I think that this comic could become even funner if you had her close her eyes (so as to keep them from getting soapy water in them) than ADD a panel where she her eyes are open and her face with a slightly perturbed look. and than the last panel remains the same but the context becomes more funny because she realizes it's a mare and (at least in my mind) her face in the last panel looks a bit like molestia XD

I think you analysis of the alternative on this is valid. However, I was trying to stick to a 4koma on this comic. the closing of the eye would work well if I was to add a 5 frame, but in only 4 frames... I'm not as sure.
