Thanks everyone for putting up with my little minimalist experiment, where I made a comic using the least effort possible. It worked pretty well, I only spent about 6 hours in total on the 12 panels in the 3 comics.
Now back to my usual style for the next mythbuckers
I was inspired by watching the old speed racer. how a characters expression was frozen unless there was a really good reason to animate it...
Animation must have been expensive back then... thank Celestia for flash cartoons

Well, Celestia's been around for over 1000 years. It would be hard to find something interesting. Wonderbolt show, Been there, saw that a few hundred times. Read a book, she had probably read every book in existence, twice. Watch a cat video; that might keep her occupied for a few days. But, A good practical joke never gets old, because even though you can pull the same prank on a bunch of different ponies, it never gets old, because they would all react differently.
Thus, when Humanity learns how to live forever, society will devolve into constant trolling and practical jokes. Look at today, where life expectancy is twice what it was 100 years ago, and look how much troll-ish humor is out there.

The fandom started to notice all of the obvious problems she was creating, and a lot of the problems would be pretty funny if you were into that sort of thing.
In the ticket master, Celestia knew (it was a goddamn prophecy set in stained glass in Canterlot castle) the elements of harmony would be inseparable friends, but sent Twilight two tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala anyway, knowing literally everypony wants to go.
On Lesson Zero, notice how the sun moved like a clock all day? Yeah, she controls that AND knew it'd been a week since she'd gotten a letter AND knew how Twilight got around deadlines. Plus she waited until the instant the sun was fully set before appearing in the sky royally scolding her, just to add to Twilight's trauma.
In a bird in the hoof, she knew that Fluttershy took care of all the animals she could, so she brought an extremely rare bird to Ponyville without telling anyone that it was SUPPOSED to look sick, then left the room with guards in tow but LEFT THE BIRD. She definitely set that up.
Remember the Nightmare Night episode? She allowed a holiday celebrating the literal demonization of her sister for the millennium she was gone, didn't mention linguistic changes over the years, etc.
There's a ton of instances. Just look for them a bit more closely.

It's kind of easy to go under the radar if your name isn't madmax, or pixelkitties. I have improved a lot over the past few months, and you may not have recognized my earlier work (Mythbuckers, occupy ponyville, classroom follies) posted on EqD as coming from me.

It's funny, if I told myself 6 months ago I would be making pony comics that hundreds, if not thousands of people like, I wouldn't have believed myself.

I think you're very lucky to be able to gain some notoriety in the mlp fandom for comics, of all things. It's easy to do things that are dramatic, but it's hard to make people laugh! ^_^

Tell me about it... I never really thought I was that funny before I started doing this... my success at the humor drove the artwork, because I needed to get better to draw the things I was wanting to make fun of.

There are a lot a parallels between how the animators of old did cartoons, and how I do comics. I can appreciate what a pain animating action must have been

Inking the cels must have been a real bitch to do. I remember seeing a picture of how Disney made each frame for Sleeping Beauty (I think it was Sleeping Beauty can't remember now)
