I was given the idea this morning of doing a tutorial on how to make tutorials. I whipped this up in about an hour and a half, so I hope it's good, and I really hope it's useful.I really want to know what you think. If there is anything you think I should change, please tell me. I saved the original version where I can edit the text, so if there are typos anywhere or things I chould add, please please please tell me.

OMG this should be plastered everywhere on DA. I did a search so many times before I found this group and never once did this tutorial pop up! This is soooo helpful. I just did a tutorial to contribute to this group. My biggest problem is getting the images to come out sharp and clear. For some reason after I upload it to DA, the images get all blurry and pixelated. What am I doing wrong? I use gimp and I start with a canvas of 666 x 3036 based on other tutorials. Why is my tutorial so blurry? Help!

Huh... I can't explain why it might be coming out pixelated. It seems like you're using a good size canvas. Maybe if you gave me the link to one of your tutorials that has that problem, I might be able to help more. ^^

I used photoshop elements, and I adjusted the canvas size to be the dimensions that would work.

that's a good idea. and well done ^^
you could add that a practical title would be helpful. there's quite a few tutorials "xy's tutorial" or something. doesn't really say much.
the colors had to be pointed out. "use download if you can't read it" is ... well... if only it would make it better.
(file) size is a bit of an issue at times, too. tutorials usually don't need high res. and if you have to scroll around continuously to read one sentence it's not fun either.

I was actually thinking of doing something like this sometime in the near future. I've seen so many tutorials that are unreadable or just bad at explaining things. They should have read this tutorial before making one.
One thing I've noticed about other people's tutorials is that... Well, best explain through example.
"This is a tutorial for people so that they can learn how to colour!
Step 1: Do your lineart!
Step 2: ...Colour it!
Hope you liked my tutorial lol!"
