Ngh. I tried experimenting again and things weren't working out so I just threw caution to the wind and grabbed any brush and any texture, etc. I think I learned a lesson though, so I suppose that's all right.Β Jam probably spotted Auburn trying to lug this pumpkin and was so excited to finally use her new cart until a small kink arose, i.e. her Numel won't do nuthin' for nobody.Β
Eeh, I think I made everyone look wonky but it was hard scribbling so small and I was so lazy I didn't even want to zoom in or use reference ahaha. Still, I'm glad I got this chance to draw Auburn because everyting Chespin-related is wonderful.

I love the technique and the composition.Β
The colors are dark and cool but still, the vegetation seems vigorous. It FEELS like an autumn piece thanks to the colors you selected and that GORGEOUS pumpkin. ^^
I also REALLY love Berry's 'warmer' clothes. Her fashion really clicks with me. XD; And i like how she is posed- you can see her straining to pull that stubborn Numel. a haha.
As always, your drawings possess a sense of life and humor, executed in a fun and lovely artistic style. ^^ Keep up the amazing work! It is always great to see your stuff in my inbox. ;3

You already know how much I appreciate your comments, so I'm not going to expound on that, but thank you! I actually base her clothes off the stuff from Oilily, which is this really nice, really expensive Dutch clothing line. I can't afford their stuff so I just vicariously live through my character that way. XD

I just look for really nice things that I could never afford or would wear in real life and alter it a bit to suit her. xP

You do? Β For my own learning purpose, can you tell me exactly what you like about it? Is it the coloring or the drawing? 'Cuz frankly I was like "Woohoo, I'll use every other brush I have!". But it came out kinda nice. I'm actually looking at it now on a school monitor and it does seem to change the colors a bit.Β

What I personal like about the piece is the "rough" or "sketchy" feel that the lines give to it. Because they're used sparingly (like with the corn), the viewer can tell where the strongest edges are without having to make the lines thick. However, looking closely at these same lines, they are still soft looking because they look more line charcoal-drawn lines than a more solid-looking ink or marker lines (I know that it's all digital brushes, but I'm trying to compare the lines to real-world items 
Side note here, but the pink colors on my laptop look much softer than when I saw this picture originally, so it's just a monitor issue rather than your color choices here.

Mm-hm. That's interesting. So it's almost a Gestalt effect, and the lines are more "guidance" than borders. That's good feedback, thank you!

First off, I absolutely LOVE the humor in this, it is incredibly wonderful and made me giggle for quite a while. xD Their expressions and Jam's NUMEL, just wow!
I really do love the colors and the textures used in this, it gives such a nice feeling a transition into Fall! <3

Ah, thank you so much! I think I have an uncontrollable urge to make jokes out every other piece I draw. XDΒ
I'm not too familiar with Auburn but I get the feeling she'd start feeling a little bad seeing how hard Jam is trying to make her stubborn animal move and be like "Um, on second thought-" (but Jam would just wave her away, she's being helped whether she wants it or not!)
And yep, I decided to go all warm colors on this for that Fall feeling.
It's always fun seeing who replies on the front page and which characters you get to draw, but with you and Auburn, I was all like "Jackpot!"
