Description
United we will stand, forever!I can't believe it's been six years already since 9/11/01. I specifically added this deviation today, 9/11/07.
Do YOU remember where you were/what you were doing when you found out?? I'd be interested to hear.
I was falling asleep in 2nd period English class during my Senior year of High School. We got locked down during 3rd period - and I was in the computer lab... we were just watching footage the whole day.
Sorry if this provokes bad memories.

I was in sixth grade in ELA (english) and everyone was joking "the comacazies (sp?) are coming!" I just ignored the whole thing, because it sounded like typical stupidity, but I think we got let out of school late because of it...or early...dismissal wasn't normal.
I only found out when I got home what really happened, and that my dad, who was a policeman, had been sent down there. He's still alive! but didn't come home for a few days. When he did come back, he said he and his crew had a van and saved two women before they had to bat out of there.
Since then, I just can't believe the footage I watch of it. o.o

I was a senior in high school, but attending math class at Ohio State. The university's fall quarter hadn't started yet, so my mornings those days involved a lot of free time at my high school. I had just been informed by my guidance counselor some good news about a scholarship, and was on my way out of the office when someone said they got an e-mail saying two planes had crashed into the WTC. I was imagining small planes, and didn't think it was any big deal, though the fact that there were two made it seem odd for an accident. So a while later in the cafeteria (which was a study hall at that time), someone turned on the TV and I saw what was going on. I stayed there watching TV through three lunch periods before having to go to English class.
