Description
My newest aircraft, and the first for 2024, was done by completely reworking the special "Lancastrian" used as a testbed for Rolls-Royce RB.41 "Nene" jet engines. I shortened the fuselage, removed the first segment of the wings and the piston engines, redesigned the canopy, and completely modified the tail so it would not be in the way of the jet exhausts. I called the result "Chester", not only to keep in line with the previous "Manchester" and "Lancaster" names, but also because I once lived in that other Northern UK city for almost a year and have fond memories of it.
