Professor Anton Veebleiftzer, that master
of aero-craft and aviation-science' mischief's
elf, offered to the Boeing Company, a re-design
for their famous B-29 Super Fortress.
PAV purchased (stole) the 20th preproduction
prototype, B-29, and removed the big radial propeller
driving engines, and replaced them with eight jet engines,
of PAV's design, based upon the Junker Jumo 004B1 Turbo-jet
engine, but much more reliable, however.
The resulting hybrid Super-Fortress was capable of top speeds,
exceeding 400mph-plus. However, as the engines gulped fuel, the range
was decreased compared to the original B-29 machine.
PAV was forced to reposition the main landing gear, two units, beneath
the fuselage, and outer-wing-landing-stability was provided with two narrow
landing gears, located beneath the two inner-wing engine pods.
Because of the new lower-placement of the landing gear, the bomb-bay
was shortened and the bomb-load diminished
