Description
The design above is a real project from the British Gloster company, designated the CXP-1001 (for Chinese EXperimental Pursuit). It was to be produced for Free China, but the plan fell out after the Communists took over for good, forcing Free China to become the country of Taiwan. I actually did a three-view arrangement of the CXP-1001, based on several existing drawings, that was shared in this gallery a few years ago:

I later isolated the profile view and reworked it as a production development, to which I gave the designation CP-1001 (dropping the "X") and christened it the "Grenadier" to fit in nicely with the many other Gloster aircraft having their name beginning in "G". I also used "Flying Tigers" markings snatched from Curtiss P-40 squadrons.
