I can't believe nobody else mentioned it (or maybe didn't notice?)!

The armlessness is grounded in the fact that the piece is inspired by old Greek statues that are broken and missing pieces. As is the pale "skin tone".
Although if I had to be completely true to my source of inspiration (a small scale replica of Nike of Samothrace that I've got standing on my shelf) I'd have had to leave her headless as well, but I didn't think that would be as aesthetically pleasing, all things considered.

Beautiful! You did a great job on the anatomy and elegance of her pose, and I think the soft colors complement the subject well. All the elements here create a very soft, feminine painting.
