Are you thinking of the Lios Alfar from Guy Gavriel Kay's Fionavar Tapestry?

Not necessarily the tapestry, I read the first book (the summer tree - or something alike, I read it in Hebrew), and in the end of this book the heroes encountered the Lios Alfar people who were traveling in the kingdom for diplomatic issues, I think.
But yes, generally, it sounds like those guys.
So did you mean to draw them?

Why have you to wait? You are pretty good now, and even if you would not like the outcome, you always can draw another work.
