Okay probably late for Valentine's Day... and to be honest this is part of a tumblr reply in Priscilla's Ask Blog.
This was the question she was asked:
"Who made the first move you or Edo????"

I think the picture is pretty self explanatory.
It takes longer for him to fall in love than it does for her, and at this point after realizing so, Ed's simply being awkward... and stuff happens and then THIS is how that ends.... or starts.

I like this character, and the picture is very nice, but i do not like oc's that conflict with the plot of the manga.
But still! I love your art! Its very well done. Have you thought of making a less mary suish character?

Well each to their preferences. That's understandable but from a point of view from someone who likes OCs I'd just like to point out that creating OCs that aren't going to have an actual role in the story are kinda pointless, and it's something we do for fun anyways. It's not like it changes the actual story or anything. These are just fun AUs or Spin Offs or What Ifs to play around with and expand into the pre-exsistant universe. Which is part of what keeps fandoms alive.
I'd like to know how, exactly, you would know my OC is sueish. Have you read her profile? Her story? Because I'm pretty sure I haven't posted the newest version, so there is no way you would know this. Also probably the reason you don't give me any arguments to support this "theory" of yours that she is sueish.
I actually run a club whose main goal is to help people develop their OCs in the best way possible. I'm not a 13 year old with green haired girl with cat ears.
Now if you refer to the fact she is paired with a canon character, I'm afraid that alone isn't enough to turn an OC into a Mary Sue, especially if it's done right, which I've been working hard on to achieve.

I'm sorry, after reviewing what I said, I didn't mean your character was Sueish. I just wanted really to say that I don't like the 'changing the plot' thing. I did it myself once. I really do like your character! I think she is interesting and believable and very original. I'm sorry if I offended you or your character. I didn't mean it that way. Each to her own beliefs, about the changing the plot. Sorry!

Well you kind of did say it. Very clearly even. I could copy paste it but I'm sure you can scroll back up yourself.
Let me explain one thing to you. Every piece of fanfiction, every single piece of fanfiction... changes the actual plot IN SOME WAY... Let's see... do you like Royai? I like Royai, very much. They're my OTP, a lot of people love them too, so they write stories about them getting married and having babies. In fact they do in mine. If you do like Royai ( I'm giving an example, I have no idea what you like, but Royai is the most popular ship in this fandom so it's a good guess.) you've probably read some of these stories and love them very much. Well here are some news. Royai isn't canon, they probably do have feelings for each other, but Arakawa herself said they cannot be together because of military regulations. So chances are they will never marry and have babies. So all of those cool stories where they do, change canon, they change the plot. Mind = BLOWN huh?
Anyways my OC's story is post-manga. She's not involved in the actual plot that you see in the manga and series, she's in her own story. I'm not that much of a fan of inserting character into an actual plot, mainly because it's hard to pull off right. If anything I sometimes fill blank spaces in the plot, things that aren't shown or explained. She is paired with Ed though, and Winry is with a different OC because, while I like them as individual characters, I don't like them as a couple, and I think I should still be able to ship them with someone.
Either way it's not okay to go around preaching about this if you're not asked for your opinion on the matter. Technically it is your right to speak your thoughts, but it will simply get you a bunch of haters and trolls. People generally don't like that. But you probably don't realize this since you're new here. Even when some people do have Mary Sues, that's their problem ( or not ), maybe they like their Mary Sues? It's their right to keep them, they do it for their own entertainment anyways, not for anyone else. Some other people don't want Sues, and they will ask for advice on how to better their characters or join improvement groups like mine. That's when one should jump in and give some helpful, well thought out critique, and suggestions on how to improve whatever may be wrong.
Anyways, I accept your apology. I hope you take my advice and I'm glad you like my OC... her design I suppose? I mean I do have some stuff about her scattered all over my gallery but I haven't finished her new profile.

Listen sweety pie I'm glad you like my art and all but I get a lot of hate on a regular basis and this isn't nice. I respect Edwin and canon. I swear I do, but I don't ship Edwin okay? In my fanfiction Ed is with this girl and Winry is with another guy because I like them better in a sibiling-like relationship. Please don't spam my art with the same comment over and over.

Nah, really I handle these things a lot better normally because I'm used to it, you just caught me in a really bad mood and I didn't read things a second time before replying.
Yes art is part of one's soul, and our characters are like our children. It's a good thing when people offer critique , critique is vital for an artist, but it's very different when people bash.

NO it's totally fine... At least your not criticized by teachers...you see I always try to submit my are too school newspapers and magazines but when they look at my art they say "Oh I'm sorry we don't take manga art" or "do you have any REAL ART". They don't consider my anime draws as real art and it hurts.. so I know!
