This drawing contains two of my favourite things in drawing: recreating my old artwork and drawing Halloween related stuff. This is a new version of one of my first submissions here on 2010: www.deviantart.com/bitterb/artβ¦It was nice coloring with just colored pencils instead of watercolors for a chance even though I like how my coloring looks more when I use watercolors. Making this little drawing made me really happy after having this break from deviantart again.

I cannot seem to make friends with colored pencils but I like their 'portability'. I love watercolors but they are never a precise as a pencil for me (yet. All things come with practice). I did get a set of Derwent Inktense (they are really amazing to me!) and I seem to be making friends with those in small doses and may bridge the gap (of watercolors/pencils) by getting aquarelles/water pencils...

Yeah I definitely agree with you on your thoughts about colored pencils. It's easier to be precise with them than watercolors that I can be precise with but I tend to lose my patience at some point and start painting too recklessly. I like working with both of them but usually I just use colored pencils on top of a base made with watercolors if I choose to use pencils at all. That's been working for me the best lately but it would definitely be nice to learn to work with pencils betters since they are the tools I used for a very long time when I first started drawing more and posting my stuff here.

Thanks a lot! I've been trying to focus more and more on shading as I find it the trickiest thing in coloring so I really appreciate your comment.
