I'd feel just like the way Shadow is in here if something really, really bad happened to Amy.
I do agree, however, that even as the Ultimate Lifeform, I believe what really makes up life are feelings, and his feelings are apparently really sensitive, just like mine, but I actually think that's a good thing on some circumstances.
