On December 13, 2018 the third world war started as the Russians attacked the USA. It was a fierce fight between the two massive countries, and three months later, the first atomic bombs were dropped to Washington DC. The massive destruction to the US brought them to the edge, and soon they dropped their bombs into Russia. The war continued for the next two years, until both of the countries were so damaged, that they both had to stop out of not having enough weaponry.

Now, our beautiful blue planet has turned into a big wasteland.

21st of January, 2023

Me and my dear friend; Shayne Michaelis were, like usually, living our life at the destroyed lands of the US.
We are both 25 now, even though I still look closer to 20.
You know, life isn't easy, when you breath deadly chemicals daily. It causes cancer, and lots of diseases, but so far, both of us had never got severely sick, I sometimes have to wonder how.
And like any other day; I woke up first. Like usually, my friend was sleeping next to me, peacefully. Michaelis's breathing had became quite hard lately, so I sometimes stayed up couple hours in the middle of the night, as to keep watch of his breathing.

I wake up from my daydreaming, when I notice Shayne waking up. He groans, and rubs his eyes.
"Mornin'" He says with calm voice, before stretching his hands towards the sky.
I reply him with casual 'morning' too, before standing up. My muscles were still little sore from yesterday, I let out a sigh.
But I soon bring a grin to my lips. If nothing else, I didn't want him to worry about me.
You see, Michaelis was back in the days part of the US army. Before the war broke out, that is. He left right when the war started, but he never told me why. I would have been so proud of him, if he had fought for his own land.

Couple ten minutes later, we were walking down the streets. There was no sign of life anywhere, unless you knew where to look. Lizards and bugs were quite common in this area, and so we were looking for them for breakfast. Not the tastiest food, but better than nothing.

Shayne was busy looking for bugs under the rock, while I was looking into the distance. Nothing was like it used to be. The sky was dark during both day and night, the air was covered in heavy dust, you couldn't see the horizon. On top of this, the whole atmosphere, it was hopeless.

Soon, a distant voice reaches my ear.
"Did you hear that?" I ask Michaelis, but I hear no reply. When I turn around, I see my friend, holding his chest. I quickly hurry next to him, and ask was he okay. He nods quietly, but I still look up and down his body, as to see any kind of injuries. I see none. I let out a sigh of relief, only to hear that voice again, only this time a lot closer.
I move my eyes to the way I had been looking. I could barely see, but what I did saw, was two hazy shadows. No, they must be other people.
And by the fact, that they were holding their head high, and they were not hiding they must have been the government.
Those were looking for any survivors, only to bring them to their base, and try to look for a cure for these illnesses these acids cause.

"C'mon, let's go." I say to Shayne, as I stand up, and offer my hand for him. He doesn't take it, he tries to stand up by himself instead.
But with no success. An intense groan escapes his mouth, as he takes hold of his left knee, and falls back to his sitting position.
"S-Shade, are you okay?" I ask, clear worry in my tone. Of course he wasn't. But instead of just admitting it, Shayne grasps my shirt, and pulls me closer.
"Shut up, will ya?" He hisses under his breath, while taking hold of my jaw.
"I had a feeling it would end sooner, rather than later." He averted his eyes away, when saying that.
My eyes were wide open for a while, but my gaze turned into a warmer one, and a tiny smile got to my lips.
I let out a faint laugh.
"Don't look so sad, I'm sure we'll see each other soon~" I kept smiling, and wiped off the tiny tear from his cheek, while Shayne moves his eyes back to mine, a tint of relief in them.
Then he grins slightly too, bringing our foreheads together.
"Yeah, let's see each other in hell." He couldn't help the laugh, so I laugh with him.
Soon our laughter fades, and the only thing I heard besides his breathing, was the voices getting closer, and closer...

Ääh, en tiedä mitä sanoa!

Tausta on ihan äly hieno, niiku sulla aina! Tyypillä vaan on se 'taustan taju~~' et vaan saat tollee helposti kaikki näyttää niiku siltä miltä pitää, vaik silti viivat on tommosia "vähän sinne päin".
Ja toi ihme öljyläikkä mikä lie tos edes on kans iha sairaan nätti, vaik se on oikeesti vaan tommonen suttu, emt vetää puoleensa . w .
Apuah, noi mustat miehet (no racist maaan) on jotenki sillee samal nii uhkaavan näkösii, mut samal semmonen 'pelastus' kun ne tulee tuolta valosta!
Ehkä ne päästää kaksikon taivaaseen? Who knows~

Ja sit tottakai parhaimmat jätetään viimeiseksi: Eli just noi ho-ho-homot tos etualal.
Ääh sanon tän taas, mut Shayne näyttää niin super ihanalta tässä ; o ;
Siis koko toi sen olemus, ja kasvot ja hiukset ja kaikki on niiku niin-- D::: <3
Ja sit toi ryyni. Voi ei sekin on niin kaunis vois vaan itkee-- 
No ei, mut se on kans ihan himo nätti! Noi vaalet sävyt tekee semmosen kunnon 'enkeli' vaikutelman, et niiku se ois Shaynin joku suojelus enkeli tai jotain, ja pyyhkii sen kyyneleitä silleen "soon we'll get to heaven". Äää such sad!
