Okay, this work almost does not fit into the photography category given the blatant photo manipulation I applied to it. However if you look carefully the original details of the photo are still intact, and there was definitely no grafting involved.This ws originally shot in colour, then the flower isolated and the rest turned into b & w. As for the lighting... I'm not telling. ^_^
I guess this is another attempt at 'studio' work (despite not having a studio with lamps and reflectors).

I too have some pictures in which I isolated the main subject, turning the rest into black and white and I still submitted it to the photography section because it says you are allowed to submit "pictures taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a very minimal level of digital manipulation" so I wouldn't worry about that if I were you.
I really love how deep the lines of the hand look and to be honest, I quite have an interest in palmistry, so... I couldn't help noticing that the flower lays on (or next to) the "heart line" of the palm, which in my opinion, makes the whole of the picture more delightful and tender

I didn't know anything about palmistry until now, and so of course it was sheer luck that the flower lies on the 'heart line' (though it was place where I wanted it compositionally). My intention was to make it seem "sweet and fragile" and "delightful and tender".
