yo, i'd say you got a pretty good start!

one thing i might suggest if you want a bit more movement to the falling object is to maybe add some speed lines/speed blurs to it. kinda similar to what a comet looks like, it could be given 'a tail' to it

another thing i noticed is how it kinda pauses in mid air before being inhaled by kirby. one idea to fix it was to maybe begin the inhaling animation as the apple is still falling in order to kinda prevent that sudden pause.
another personal idea of mine would be to maybe draw kirby to the left side and in the midst of when the apple falls, it's direction could be drawn to where kirby is inhaling. kind of like your average boss fight with whispy and all the more a fun way to defy gravity

one final key suggestion would be to always feel free to add in more in-between frames if you want to prevent choppiness. the more you got, the smoother it may just turn out!

i'll admit i'm not a pro at animation (or critiquing for that matter...), but i hope my tips could help you, anyways!

Yeah, animation can be a pain and it's really time-consuming. You just gotta keep trying until you're happy! I never looked for any animation tips but there's probably a lot on Youtube. Hope that helps ^-^
