Travelling Down the street,
With the buildings embracing my sides.
The night lamps, illuminate store fronts-
The promise of a perfect future,
The promise, with a tinge of doubt.

Sometimes I think I’ll never get there,
With most of my pleasures robbed away,
With all my love faded in.
I relight the fires that was put-out in defeat.

And all the world blurs…

A podium of emptiness-
Re-lit, no longer looks dank and spiteful.
An illumination of hope,
A dash of wisdom,
Painted, in a spectrum of magic
Upon a brighter canvas,
To write the next chapter of my life.

Additional banter: Everyone feels down sometimes, time it seems, drags on, especially in the loneliness we all feel at stages of our lives. Sometimes, the thoughts are marred by regrets, bitter-sweet memories and failure that is life-changing…
In that place, where one’s thoughts conspire to keep one down, one needs to find that faintest light, and follow it out of misery…
