my entry for ARVEN92 contest. now complete
spent the whole day today finishing it off and very happy with the turn out.
i been a big fan of the comic and couldnt wait to do an art piece for it, however just didnt have the time to do so until now.
im very glad i entered
Im sure you can see whats happening.
Chui obviously won the contest and turfed africa and her cubs out of the land she called home for all her life.
the land she called home, was the only world she knew.
now she is turning her back and moving on

from the film AFRICAN CATS was a sure fit for this scene.

Oh my goodness so it's complete!
This is SO gorgeous, you can really see all the work that was put into it, especially because you showed the various steps of how you got there
The background looks amazing, especially the rim of the crater, the texture is so gorgeous!
The amount of detail on the characters is outstanding, I especially love how you drew every single spot on Chui even though he's so far away! He looks so detailed!
And of course, Africa is magnificent <3 Her expression conveys a lot of emotion and her pose is strong
Not to mention, the lyrics of the song work perfectly for this scene, and for the comic in general! It was a really neat touch you added, this would make a fantastic poster! <3

Im glad you noted the detail on the crater
Drawing chui was actually very fun using a slightly different way of colouring.
I think this is possibly my best are to date so im chuffed with the progressand result.
Yesthe song i tthought was a delicate touch. I loved the film African cats and that song was so heart warming it sang to me through this piece.

I love how you added the butterfly with Binti innocently looking at it, while Mosi's more worried expression just stole my heart, and I want to hug him so bad *0*

thanks. i will be updating everytime i add something new on it so you can watch the progress. im a little annoyed at the strpe on africa's and mosi's neck. Mosi neck stripe is surprisingly hard to do but africa's one will be changed by the finished piece, in my mind it not look right

She loses the bet obviously. She leaves her landand takes cubs with her. Chu I planned the whole thing and the rules stated that no animal was to be harmed.or injured during the contest. The rules never said that the animal could be already dead

well i know about the loosing the bet part lol. was wondering how he was going to pull his trick off tho but u do have a point.
however leaving the land with her cubs part sounds too normal lol < D ARVEN92 doing pretty well with this story so far.
