I love how detailed the origami is and the paper you've chosen fits well with the subject. The photo itself is well composed too, I like how you've made the normally ordinary background fade into warm purple making it more fascinating (:

and the photo..well it's actually more of photo-manipulation skills that i use, so just try doing one or two of those and you'll definitely be able to do it too!
the light source btw is from a rendered omni light created in photoshop, but oyu gotta get used to the settings to really make it work, because it depends on each case, and only recently i found out how to manipulate those
