Description

This was influenced from a relatively old photo taken from an "Aspiring Ballerina to be" (If not one already) Malika that lay around my desk for some time...

I had loved the rather unique bone structure and agility/control of this beautiful young lady for some time but this one being of my favorite photos about ballet; I had no idea to how I would make use of it...

Until I pushed it's colour saturation to reveal the reds from her rather pale skin.

And this came out eventually...

Bodybuilders have this rather famous "No pain No gain" motto that found it's way into many disciplines. One can argue Ballet as one of them since there is no way of achieving finesse without a LOT of pain and HARD work. But I personally find that whilst practicing Ballet: the pain is more of a side effect actually... Like the paint on the brush finishing whilst watercolouring. And just as watercolouring you are mostly focused on the picture until you have to retrieve the brush and dip it into more so necessary paint... These are beautiful and respectable crafts very few are virtuoso on.
