Description
This was also an attempt at what could be called my "Ballet Doodling series". Here I tried to emphasis what I caught onto in my previous doodle: A highly tensed back whilst trying to present a very relaxed and flowing appearance on the general silhouette of the upper torso.
I can not say I hit the nail on the head as there was literally no model posing in-front of me for this one. I believe I have not done a bad job on the shoulder blades. But showed a lot less success at the waist and hips.
There is also this thing about trying to make it as sketchy as I can without sacrificing the impression I hope for it to impose. There is so much happening in the dancers body whilst attempting to maintain this specific pose... I tried to concentrate on as much of it that would tell her story as I could manage.

I have always had a great admiration to ballet even prior ever dancing. There is a disciplined elegance about it that is not correctly describable with words alone. Of the female models I have to date drawn that have posed for me: I can insist that ballerinas were possibly the ones I took greatest pleasure working on. There is always an energy connection to begin with and they are of outstanding durability to hold a pose.
All this of course with almost always a pose worth capturing.

Sadly I do not have any previous steps of this one saved that I have come cross. But it is very similar in steps taken as is the previous image: Passe Retire
