I could have done better on this but it's been forever since I've drawn Night Furies... So here's what I've got. I might redo it later though...

Reason for making this: One of the only Toothless shippings I've found on dA with a female Night Fury that I thought worked was ToothShade (ToothlessxNightshade) which was made by PandaFilms . Then they had kids and since then I have only seen ONE picture of Toothless with his hatchlings when they are still children. And that was only with Askar, the only male in the three. The three featured are:

Askar, who is male and the black one.

Ragna the second (named after Nightshade's mother), the blue one.

And Amethysteye the purple one.

So I made some sketches of Toothless with the kids because I see him contributing just as much as the mother would if he ever has kids.

Story Time: Toothless and Hiccup did some amazing things as a team, including taking down two giant dragon leaders together. So I could see Toothless telling his kids about all his adventures with his best friend, saving Berk day after day through one thing or another.

Hunting Lessons: Toothless grew up learning how to hunt like a dragon so I can also see him helping his kids with hunting. I figure Nightshade would also, having learned to hunt on the ground as well as the air, but some time with daddy doesn't hurt too. Even if he can't teach them aerial hunting techniques.

Ambushed!: Playtime is essential when it comes to any type of kids. So to keep them occupied while Nightshade's away I can see Toothless helping them with their sneak attacks as well through playfights.

So, yeah, just a few sketches showing Toothless being a good parent and not having Nightshade do all the work that goes into parenting. He would contribute a lot of his time to spending it with his best friend of course, but his blood-related family would be important to him too.
