One evening, Blaze rushed over to Sparky and handed him a pamplet. It was a printed ad for a new facility that opened in Wyndon called "Get Along Shirt." (That's the name according to Marketing anyway, it was officially called "Genetic Applications in Symbiosis.")

Apparently, it was a niche dating service that provided couples with a chance to live together as conjoined beings for as long as three days at the least, or literally the rest of the couples' lives at the most. All for a pretty hefty fee, of course. You good at something? Never do it for free, as the old adage goes...

(The latter "lifetime conjoinment" option had a two-year waiting period, with the option to cancel at any time. This is to ensure the couple wishing to undergo such a procedure were "absolutely frigging sure" they wanted to take their relationship to THAT level.)

However, it wasn't just for dating couples. That much was made apparant as Sparky read the pamphlet and saw that G.A.S. was offering a 50% off discount that week on their three-day service for curious siblings. Apparantly Blaze wanted to take advantage of this offer to give the place a try.

After a bit of hesitation, since being conjoined would mean he'd be barred from all Pokemon battles in Galar until he separated, Sparky relented. Partly because since his life was retconned, and he genuinely knew nothing about his new Sister, who he allegedly spend his entire life with. Going through with this would mean getting an opportunity to know Blaze better.

Him and Blaze left right away as soon as they got the okay from their Trainer. Gerald had other Fire types to take their place till their three days were over, so there was no problem there.

After an hour wait, then just five minutes of sitting under a nanomachine bath, Sparky and Blaze stepped out of the building as one... Or tried to, but Sparky missed his timing and almost caused the two of them to trip at the doorway.

Blaze: "oof, careful!"

Sparky: "I knew we should have sprung for the "Shared Control" option."

Blaze: "Yeah, but the procedure was already pretty pricy as it is..."

Sparky: "Boss makes trillions of Pokedollars just jumping into holes and fighting kaiju-sized Pokemon for fun. I'm confident it'd be a drop in the bucket. Maybe next time..."

Blaze: "Wait, are you saying you'd totally do this again?!"

Sparky: "... Yeah- guess I am."

Blaze: "Yeeeeee~~!"

After getting the hang of walking around, the spent the rest of the evening walking around, taking in the sights of Wyndon and overall having a fun break from their day jobs as fighting Pokemon. Eventually though, Blaze asked her brother something that caught him off guard...

Blaze: "So, how was your old life, anyway?"

Sparky: "y-You mean my... nightmare?"

Blaze chuckled and shook her head.

Blaze: "I'm not dense, Sparks- I suspected something was off ever since New Years... You really have memories of a life where I never existed, do you?"

Sparky: "Oh! ... Well, I suppose it wasn't all that bad. One of the Champion's best three Pokemon- the strongest Cinderace in all of Galar. Plenty of friends, a TON of fans..."

Blaze: "... But no family. I heard Goldeneye talk about it. You're not the only one who remembers things, it seems~!"

Sparky: "he does?! I was avoiding him because I wasn't sure he'd believe... Nevermind. ... Yeah, I never knew a single one of my biological siblings, or even my parents. They were all donated to Pokemon research labs to be a new generation of Starters. And then I was evolved immediately to max level and full evolution. No past, no future... Essentially a living weapon..."

Noticing her brother's voice cracking, Blaze braced Sparky in a one-armed embrace.

Blaze: "... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to prod into such a sensitive matter."

Sparky: "I'm the one should be sorry! I don't have a single memory of spending time with you. How can I call myself your brother if--"

Blaze leaned her head on Sparky's.

Blaze: "You big funny-bunny... Well, if that's the case, we got a lot of catching up to do, do we?"

Sparky: "... Yeah. I guess we do."

... Odd, it seems Gerald's newborn Popplio got out and has been following the twins this whole time. Well, when they head home, Sparky and Blaze need to take him back and put him to bed before their boss realizes... Say, is it just me? Or does little Kai (named after Zero's Primarina, who went missing some time ago,) seem transfixed on the conjoined Cinder-siblings? I wonder what that's about...?

Kai Mele: "... snake oil... and roses... packets of dirt... hands of a fortune-teller's son..."

... Well, for first words, that's certainly ominous!
