To start off 2016 I’ve asked some friends to give me ideas to sprite. I used said ideas to try out various styles.
So the request were as follow:
The infamous TR-8R! I used him as a practice of my new style, which you could have seen in my previous piece . Funnily enough, this is my first piece of Star Wars fanart…and I haven’t even seen Force awakens yet.
Zer0 from Borderlands. Haven’t played bordelands…but a robot with a creen beam saber and gun by the name of Zero sounds like some kind of reference, doesn’t it? Anyways, tried out the NES ccastlevania style with this one, tho considering the sci-fi theme he looks more like someone out of Contra.
Robot Master based off of a Japanese Salaryman. I shall call him…SALARY MAN! Maybe I might retouch this one? Maybe not?
Razgriz, the Demon of the North Sea. Based off of a drawing by the artist ef . It’s based off of the logo used by the Razgriz Squadron in the Ace Combat games. I thought the design would look cool in the Fire Emblem GBA style. I really like how it turned out.
The next 3 are DnD characters from several friends. I know very little about DnD, but these three ladies are Sialah, a tiefling, Matilda, the half orc and Amarylis the pixie. Was inspired by Suikoden 2 with this one, but adjusted it for my needs.
And lastly…a Wooly Mammoth. Kinda used Pokemon HG/SS’s overworld sprites as a reference.
