Description Hey guys and a gals it me blackceaser2000 again. Here is a new drawing style test for the artist im trying to make it called Boricua style, a mix of European and classic American comics with hits of manga.

For this test im doing headshots of the gang in the new style, they have some slight deference in style each one to display there ancestry. I know it need some work to polish it up but i need to know what flaws in the style need to work on. For that i will explain in detail what i did in the drawing down below.

1. Aofle O, hara: When i was drawing Aofie i had in mind the European style of comics like Ligne claire or Bandes dessinées. As she is European, the comic "the Gipsy" by  Thierry Smolderen and Enrico Marini was the inspiration for the Boricua art style and the way i draw Aofie. That comic had a style that combines elements from the ligne claire, American comics, and Japanese manga that i liked. It was the main character's little sister Oblivia a red-haired Romani girl that caught my attention. When i saw her i though with a deferent hairstyle she would be Aofie. So after a few practice drawings i did Aofie in the style of Enrico Martini. One thing i played attraction to was the eyes. The eyes came from picture of a rare Irish comic book. So out of the four she is a bit more realistic like in most European comics.

2. Ruben (Black Caesar) Alvarez: Caesar come from a melting pot of a family but he has a bit of American style to him. He take after in looks from his long dead father a afro Puerto Rican. But his eyes come from his late grandmother, she came from rural Alabama so he has a pair of eyes better seen in classic American comics from the late 80s and 90s.  I did use Miles Morales as a starting point of sorts.

3. Abigail "Mary Ann" Jones: Mary Ann at first was based on a neighbor of mine but later on a based her on three girls in fiction. Yang from RWBY, Lady Oscar from The Rose of Versailles and Fujiko Mine for the sex appeal. With Mary Ann i went towards the classic retro style of American comics for her eyes (AKA the etheringtonbrothers and Daisy Mae Yokum from Li'l Abner) . The hair comes from lady Oscar.

4. Martin Diaz: Last and not lest Martin, With Martin his inspiration was Lupin the 3rd so he has a more Asian look to him. His grandma from his mother`s side is Japanese. So the lupin look would work well. For his eyes the anime and manga jojo's bizarre adventure was the main inspiration for his style.
