Description
This is a fanart piece for Aphrodite IX. I have not read any of the comics for Aphrodite. I just was doing a google image search and found a picture and decided to draw it large scale. The original is about 2x3 inches. The drawing is done primarily with prismacolor pencils, inked with a paint pen, and is on a 20x25 inch illustration board with a 2 inch mat border. I was hoping to enter it into an advertising contest for school..but sadly I got a little too stressed and rushed the inking process and smeared it. I didn't enter this one but I did enter the bipolar disorder illustration thats in my gallery here [link] Thank god its on illustration board and was easily fixed.This is my favorite piece I have done to date. Spent about 4-5 hours on it. I'm incredibly proud of it and I hope you enjoy viewing!

THAT is fucking hot. I love it. you did an amazing job with line width. Usually that doesn't strike me as a thing to comment on usually, but WOW. In this piece it takes center stage. Her eye is perfectly drawn.

Thanks! I've got another one to upload thats pretty much based on this one....but she has blue hair. I gotta put some finishing touches on it before I upload it.
The line width kicked my ass. I used a chisel tip paint pen and it smeared cuz I was rushing to get it done...you wouldn't know it tho because i carefully took an exacto knife to it and it came off really easily.

i like the eye lashes and lips the most. the lime green for coloring is good, catches the eye. nice clean lines and good coloring job

Hello Bombshell. You posted on a forum thread I started, asking me to comment your work.
I really like this piece. I dont know a real lot when it comes to drawing (Im a photographer) but this is great. Your colours are so smooth, and they flow really well. You should be very proud of this. You've done extremely well with it. Very nice 'feel' to it. Keep up the great work.

I think this is amazing. I usually don't have a pull towards traditional art, but this stands out a lot. The main thing that caught my eye was the color separation..pink from green, green from purple/lavender, etc. The thickness of the black outline is such a great accent also. You almost get lost in it when looking at the bottom portion of the hair..it's almost grassy/vine-like.
You mention that this was done from a small-scale image also, which is impressive, it's so clean and flawless. One of those works that would look so great hung in a room

Oh yes. I also have the Aeon Flux hanging in a frame above the TV as well as 4 other smaller digital pieces I did years ago. I live with 3 other girls in on campus apartment housing...no one has this kinda art hanging in their apartment.
Too bad I can't find the other digital pieces on my zip drives....one day I'll have take them out of the frame and scan them.
