Reminds me of Gerald Durrell's "My Family And Other Animals" where he talks about his turtle loving strawberries. <3

such a cool and unique photo! love the color of the strawberry in contrast to the tortoise, and the bit of strawberry that stays on its mouth

I used to have a southern box turtle and she loved Strawberries. Her other favorite food was live crickets, never saw her move so fast as she hunted them down, although I found it easier to just leave them in the plastic bag from the pet shop till they passed out then give them to her.

This picture demands dramatic music as a backdrop

I had a turtle who did this. She was so sweet. We kept her in the backyard and every day, she'd wait by the door until we gave her a strawberry.
She died a couple years ago. She was probably around... I dunno but we had her for 15 years and she was pretty big.
RIP Oscar
I love this picture because it reminds me of her so much! Thanks.

Turtles are the nicest animals, in my opinion. Aren't they? Look at this one!

Good shot, the lighting plays out well and the strawberry pops out nicely.

He's (she's?) quite cute! It's like, "RAWR, my strawberry!" *chomp*
My tortoise is like that, little ravenous eater.

Awesome I don't know why but seeing this image makes me smile....considering that I've seen Turtles bite a branch in two, it's a good idea to keep your fingers away from his mouth.
