Β TheΒ two things I want to add is the title and DD, If it was something else this could be another concept in the opposite direction. It doesn't have to be sad.
In another way I see it, I see a set of knowledge, Trees can grow old and are said spiritually to hold wisdom and it grows as it learns overtime. If we suffer from sadness it could have scars (scarred for life) or a Tumor as the fungus that grows around the tree. But in other ways it could even show its health.
But some of these things can be healed over time and that s what a tree does, it either heals or adapts to what it has.

Very Nice !!
Saw the picture before I read the title and thought - hey, it's the knowledge tree.. but then the title gives it a very different meaning

It would've been very cool if the mouth opened to drain the excess water.
Brilliant sculpture!
