This piece is called Ursula. She is my first sculpture using Chavant NSP Medium Clay created in 2015. This fierce warrior is a ¾ scale bust and was a challenging but enjoyable piece to work on.

Discovering Chavant Clay changed the way I worked dramatically and may I say for the better. It really lent itself to my style or creating, whereas water-based clays are brittle and dry out easily. They are not that malleable or robust enough to take the forms I want to create.
