I want to get lost at the end of the roadAnd follow the voices around the bend

I want to have lightning's darkness disruption
To feel electricity under my skin
To get lost in the thunder's seduction
And never remember again
All of my memories buried inside
Plead out for a voice, want to be cried

Then vanish in kisses without a trace
But the craziness comes, and the craziness thrills
It's better then feeling, I know that it kills
I should know better, know not to lie
But anything's better then watching you cry
Now the ice on my feelings' gotten too thin
Diluting the liquor I hold in my hand
The back of my mind whispers that I won't swim
Because after this fall i'll be too weak to stand
All of the moments I held you too tight
Sitll weigh in my heart as heavy as stone
Still have regrets for doing what's right
And lying to you that I'd rather roam
Still the craziness comes, and the craziness thrills
Numbing my feelings to all that I'll kill
I know that I promised you, Said I won't lie
But lying is better then making you cry
When the craziness comes again I will go
By then, not caring if you'll ever know
The only thing I said that was true
Was that I will always love you

*laughs* Thanksverilymuch. *grins* I just weight for some weird Idea to form. If you want to write like this, my advice is keep a notepad by your bed, write while you're half asleep, and force yourself to become sleep deprived. it works wonders. XD Do you know who I am? Have my WT friends told you?

Polish will play with the style, but it might take away from the general idea of a madman's (or madwoman's) words. The fact that it's a little clunky in places accentuates the speaker's slow drift toward insanity.
However, I disagree; there's not a good reason to lie.

You totally did write it. And it's great.
Some of the verses feel a little clumsy to me, but I'm neither sure I'd change it nor if it would be better with something less jarring. The emotion you seem to be aiming for is sort of helped by it.
And, though I love each stanza independently for the imagery they give, I want to give especial love to the first two. I got stuck on "lightning's darkness disruption" for a few clicks, rereading it three or four times until what you meant registered. And then, when realization flashed in, all I could think was that that's such a brilliant phrase.

Yeah.. To me, they feel like they need to be polished, but I'm not sure how to fix them, because some of them feel... off. the line with "weigh as heavy as stone" (the stanza) feels too... out of place, for me

Ummm, well I don;t know much. But check out your local Library or if you don't want to you can look at magazines in bookstores too. Look for writers magazins. They not only have contests and stuff, but how to get published and publishing places and what they look for. Snoop around the internet too.
I bet you can find something. I would look but I think it depends on where you live too. And I don't expect you to tell me that. ^^
