This is my entry for ElvenGrace 's Contest .
We must creat a new species. Well...this is mine... not so original, but I love it C:

μάθος (Mathos) is the name of this species It derive from ancient greek and it means "to learn".
The Mathos's world is a little similar to our, but the species are many and different from each other, for example, in this case, the flowers that you can see, open theirs petals during the night instead of day and the tree's trunk seems purple.
Mathos live in a deep caves inside the deep forest, always near a river or a lake because they love water. They are also very shy animals and it's really hard to find them because their heard is very developed and they run away as soon as they hear you.
Mathos live in a herd that can contain until 50 members and they are omnivorous: their principal food is fruit, some types of flowers and bark, but they eat fish and some insects too. So they have teeth structure like humans but with canine tooth little more big.

Questa è la mia Entry per il contest di ElvenGrace Contest .
Dovevamo inventare una razza completamente nuova. Beh...ecco la mia..non è nulla di poi così originale, ma a me piaceva C:
μάθος (Mathos) è il nome della specie a cui appartiene questo grazioso animaletto Deriva dal greco antico e significa "imparare".
Il mondo dei Mathos è simile al nostro, ma le specie sono molte e piuttosto differenti fra loro, per esempio, in questo caso, i fiori che potete vedere, aprono i loro petali di notte e non di giorno, mentre i tronchi degli alberi sono più tendenti al porpora che non al marrone.
I Mathos vivono inoltre in profonde grotte nascoste nel folto della foresta, sempre vicino ad un corso d'acqua in quanto la adorano.
Sono animali molto timidi ed è difficile scorgerli in quanto il loro udito è molto sviluppato e scappano non appena avvertono un rumore sospetto. Vivono in branchi che comprendono all'incirca una 50ina di individui. Sono animali onnivori: la loro alimentazione comprende principalmente frutta, fiori e corteccia, ma non disdegnano anche il pesce e gli insetti. La loro struttura dentaria è simile alla nostra umana ma con i canini leggermente sviluppati.
